Michael and his children are sailors at heart! Weekends and school holidays are the opportunities to sail around the Hong Kong archipelago. The kids had gotten a virus when we talked about the theme of their room. But the theme was obvious.
Our idea for the room was one where fish would be flying and whales jumping out of the water.
The decor was mainly painted on, only the smaller elements were stickers. It was extremely fun for me to create this mural, and the kids’ enchanted and happy eyes immediately made me forget about the hard labor of the past two days that I had spent on the ladder ^^
I can’t finish this post without talking about my assistant Thomas, who tried to step into the fresh blue paint many times! What an adorable little creature! If only some of my family members weren’t allergic to cats…
Our little ones are heading back to school and it might just be the perfect time to redecorate their room. Some of you might have already done just that but for those that are still contemplating different options, here are three rooms I designed this summer to help trigger your inspiration.
The first one is my son’s Aydan’s. He is five years old. The background was made with paint and masking tape. It is geometrical and so quite easy to draw and replicate. The stickers are from our dinosaures collection available in our e-shop right here.
The two following rooms were designed based on existing models. It is an ideal option for those wishing to do something special, yet tailor-made for their space and budget! It usually takes us no more than 7 to 10 days to come up with a design plan, which can later be followed by the installation (but not necessarily). We start by discussing the spirit of the room before deciding on the color of the background and selecting the theme of the room. So don’t hesitate to contact us to schedule a house visit, designing kids’ rooms is one of my favorite parts of my job!
A background in light gray, pink and a touch of bronze for Alicia. A bold and original choice for this five years-old girl.
For her big brother Aaron, we went with a combination of grey, peacock blue and orange. We added a touch of fun and color to the gray wall using a 2.5 meters long sticker from the “Plain is boring” collection. Different lengths (up to 3 meters) are now available in our boutique to better fit your spaces and furniture.

Adele is a lucky little 5 years old girl who has received for her birthday a bedroom make-over!
I’m always happy to work on girls’ room and I think that if I had a daughter her room would probably look just like this one ^^.
Adele was quite specific about what she likes. First, she asked for a little boy and girl kissing… hmmm mommy was not very ok with that and so we only kept the romantic spirit from that idea. Then she said that she likes rabbits and the moon. I love so much working from kids’ ideas, it’s so refreshing and spontaneous.
Once the concept approved, we started working on the elevations of the room and the drawing details.
To end the week gently, I welcome you into Marguerite&Gribouilli’s enchanted fairy world. You probably already met our first Angels, launched almost seven years ago. It was therefore about time to introduce you to their new siblings. The Angels stickers are a great addition to children’s room. They somehow make the room feel dreamy and cosy.
We have been working in the past weeks on several projects, which is why we have not posted as regularly as we used to. We should be back to our regular rhythm very soon to share with you some new products, DIY tutorials as well as new design ideas.
Have a great week end!
